Associating file extensions with applications is how the operating system knows how to open or execute a given file.

When a new application is installed, it takes possession of its extensions automatically. Nevertheless, Windows allows users to change these associations. The user's interface is extremely easy to use, and when I say “easy”, I really mean it. As a matter of fact, you will only need two clicks to perform the whole operation. You can start by scanning the system for file extension errors and their associated Registry errors. Then, wait for a while until the scanning is done to fix the problems found. Although the interface has been organized into tabs, in my opinion they are not justifiable because only the first offers real interaction with the user.
Finally, this application could prove absolutely unnecessary because most system optimizers are also capable of solving file association issues.
